I was really excited to make a Marie-inspired skirt out of this shiny blue fabric I got (the Marie skirt is a free Burda Style pattern). Kinda like silk dupioni, only not real silk.
I semi self drafted the skirt (I used the waist band and bottom band from the Marie pattern, but I made the skirt part itself much less bubbly). I think it turned out decent, but it's just soooo shiny. I tried to wear it with a black button-down shirt and ribbed knit leggings, but it was just too much. Maybe with a simpler black shirt and no leggings once it's a little warmer? Like how I dressed my mannequin?
